About Me
My name is Amethyst Rain, I'm 31 years old and married to a most wonderful man. We have one son whom I home school. We live in the remote mountains of North Idaho where we haul our water and heat with firewood in winter. We have a menagerie of pets including chickens, rabbits, guinea pigs, cats, dogs, and countless wildlife critters that have come to adopt us. :D

We still buy milk, but not after this spring!  We are increasing our self sufficiency little by little every year.  It's nice isn't it?  Good luck with your ventures!
