Let me tell you about my day... it was the first time in a long time I felt like I was being frustrated at every turn.
At about 11am I decided to stop trying to do things I had to SEE to do. My eyesight is not real good and it's especially bad when I have a pressure headache. My glasses don't work when my head hurts. lol Big deal, right? So I wrote to Kansas.
At 6:30am I realized the Internet was down. Geoffie wanted me to call comcast because they usually get things on in moments - I said I would, called, and forgot I was cooking bacon and burned it. I stayed on hold long enough to cook MORE bacon! The phone was being ported this morning so the service was sporadic. So Geoffie's bopping through the house, hooked up to my IPod, singing at the top of his lungs. He can't do his jobs because he can't hear me ask him (mind you, these are jobs he has to do EVERY day. So I'm thinking about the role patience plays in evolution! LOL! I didn't kill him - I got him on the bus. I thought I'd blog early and had a pretty good post mostly finished when the electricity went out and I lost it. I said 'shit'. I started a fire in the fire place and decided to let go of the lesson of patience.
Comcast got the services by 10am only to experience a 3 hr outage starting at 12:15. Then as I was settling in to start a project, the electricity went off again. Alright already! I get it. I have to spend a day in the land of no-technology. About that time, the mail came and dropped off a package - I'd ordered Sara a Fairy House. I wish you could see the inside as a whole. It's wonderful. On CS, a man named Andie makes them under the ID FairylandRealty. He out did himself. I gave him some specs and info about who the house was for and he went to work. My little sweetie better be nice to me or I might keep it for myself! lol
Except for the wind and the flickering electric and the phone/cable/Internet outages, it's been a pretty good day. I feel like I didn't do a thing. OH, I got to referee - my daughters are fighting. My married daughter found section 8 houseing without a waiting list for her dad to apply for. Rent and utilities are based on 30% of his SS and you have to be 62 to live there. $210 a month for rent and uts? My Gods the man should be thrilled. Instead, he's totally offended and refusing to go look at them. He says he'll go stay with his aunt or sister if kay doesn't want him. He says he's going to college to finish his degree and teach - he can't read or spell. Why is he missing the obvious? Illiterate people aren't given teaching certificates. I don't want to be mean, but he leaves me shaking my head in disbelief. He can't get a job because his ONE online college class takes him all day. Oh yeah, I think the apartment is a great idea.
I haven't had any time at all online in days and with a little luck, the Internet connection will hold and I can go read some blogs! Or maybe the lights will stay on and I can cook dinner - who knows? I'm throwing the dice and saying Suprise me! Patience be damned!
LMBO! You all have a good night... Goddess bless!
