I can't believe I haven't seen anyone else here posting about this already: Cherry Hill Seminary has announced the formation of a graduate school! A real, soon-to-be-accredited university program! I could have keeled over, I was so excited to read the news. Starting in the fall of 2009, Cherry Hill will be offering a Master of Divinity degree and a Masters in Pagan studies. It's finally going to be possible to do what I've always wanted to do: go to a real university and study modern Paganism with
real academics. No more crazy interdisciplinary stuff! According to their web site, Cherry Hill expects to be granted accreditation in the next two to three years - by the time I will have finished my degree at Central. Of course, this makes me think twice about finishing at Central at all. I already have a B.A. and a strong academic record. I could qualify for graduate work at a number of schools - why not go to Cherry Hill?
This might kill my mother.
In other also exciting news, the pre-Imbolg candle making has begun! I'm working with a new kind of wax this year, so I'm starting slow, but here's what I did a couple of hours ago:
