welp my day improved. still didnt get whatever it is that cece has for me for my birthday, she had paycheck issues, but its all good. i think i know what it is, but i wont find out for sure til next friday.
i finally got rid of the laptop. i got to shop at wally and picked up kelly a birthday card, my oldest turns 23 5 days after i turn 41. bought us lunch and generally was a lost soul all day. i was able to let some negative go down the drain in my shower this morning. its not as windy out so i may be able to work the moon a bit, if i can stay warm.
after waiting all day to find out how much the company is giving kent for his 8 hours of missing overtime, he calls me this evening to tell me the amount; and i get an insta-headache: theyve paid him at his regular rate instead of the overtime rate, which means bills STILL wont get paid. this company does not just screw up, they screw up ROYALLY. gotta love northrop grumman!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they called him in to work early, for a class. plus he finds out today that he gets to cram a week long class into an hour and test out of it TONIGHT, because his dippy supervisor from before (who didnt want to lose him on his crew) never bothered to schedule the stuff so that kent would have all prerequisites out of the way before MONDAY the 12th. this was probably somewhat intentional, i think. blame it on the computer or the calendar or whatever. they wanted kent to stay with the sub program, and hes being moved against their wishes. im just sick of being toyed with. and this crap of taking a month to square up over missing overtime? isnt this illegal? i know it is....
on other fronts, i scored myself some long purple gloves for a birthday present for myself, to wear when i wear my bigass purple velvet cape. heh. gonna rock me some long gloves.
i get to walk to the bank in the morning and will probably go by myself. kent never ever walks anywhere with me, and connie will go but then whine the whole way. could be just the meditative experience i need.
i have some sewing to do tonight and am seriously considering another hot shower, ive gotten a chill as the sun has set today...
