PAGANS AT THE INAUGURATION

Wondering why you haven't gotten your engraved invitation yet to see Barack Obama inaugurated? Me too... it must have gotten lost in the mail. Anyway, if you're interested in hanging out in DC with some other Pagans, then you've got a place to go. The Pagan Religious Rights Now group is organizing a rally and ritual to be held at the Jefferson Memorial on January 19. The group's website says, "The Ritual of Unity and Blessing is organized by a triumvirate of native Washingtonians, one of whom is the great-granddaughter of slaves, one the great-granddaughter of slave owners, and one the daughter of a populist New Deal Congressman. The ceremony will begin promptly at 2pm with a Witches’ Broom Dance, intended to cleanse Washington of the malfeasance, deceit and partisanship of the last eight years." Sounds like fun, but if you can't make it, never fear. You can organize a similar ritual in your own town!

Oh that sounds so cool! I just love Washington, DC. My uncle works for Homeland Security and he says it's going to be a madhouse in DC. If you're going, please please please be on the lookout and be very careful.
