I am a fairly proficient Magickal practitioner, having studied for nearly 40 years. I have studied and worked with Witchcraft, Magick, High and low, Celtic and Faery, Tarot, Astrology, Kabbalah (before Madonna made it chic) and Herb lore. I have even dabbled in Solomonic (dabbling is dangerous... don't try this at home!). I am a Consecrated Priest/ess in the Inner Temple of the Western Mystery Tradition. However, I mostly work alone, as I have a hard time getting along with people for long periods of time.
I am fairly casual about my fList. If you Friend me, I will likely Friend you back. The beauty in this relationship is that it is equal. You trust me, I trust you. It is how healthy relationships are formed.
I sometimes write about issues such as addiction, PTSD, child abuse, and death. Sometimes I make these Friends Only Posts, sometimes I don't. It depends on how sensitive these posts are to ME. If you see something that disturbs you, Friend or not, you can always comment. I welcome comments. I have NEVER blocked another user from commenting, and I don't think I ever will. If you don't want to publicly chew me out for offending you, then you can do it privately. There are options for private communication with me listed on my Profile.
If I Friend someone and they don't Friend me back in some as of yet undetermined period of time, I am going to unFriend them.
I worship the Goddess Artemis, in all Her forms by any of Her Names, but I will pay homage to other Gods if invited to. As part of my Service to Artemis, I am bound by Oath and by Honour to the protection of Nature, Animals, Children and Women, especially Mothers with Children.
I come from a sort of Family Tradition. My Scots/Irish mother was a prolific storyteller. Little did I know, whilst growing up, that she was imparting to me a beautiful and rich collection of Celtic folk stories, which later became the basis for my religious identification (even though I worship a Greek goddess).
My degree is in Religion & Society. This is a subject that fascinates me, and I write about it constantly.
Disclaimer: I like women... a LOT... but I am happily partnered in a committed relationship for over 14 years. So, if you're lookin' for love online, you are flapping your wings at the wrong water spout here. Really. Seriously. I am not interested.
Disclaimer 2: I used to try to be careful about disturbing or offending people. I will still try, but not as hard. I discovered that there are some people out there that are going to be disturbed no matter what I say. So, if I am going to err, I am going to err on the side of honesty.
I write a lot about Religion. This is because it is what I think about, pretty much all the time. At first it was just an interest, then it became a hobby, then it became a religion, then it became a vocation, and now it is a profession. Go figure. Now its a blog.
My current fascination is Religious Utopias. I also like "weird religion". I am interested in New Religious Movements. Religion generates a lot of fascinating human drama, and I like to be right there.
I also really like animals (although not in the same WAY as I like women). I have many cats, and a wonderful Welsh Cardigan Corgi.
